"Authenticity" is in the eye of the beholder

In partnership with

I chatted with a biz owner yesterday…

He mentioned how he posts on social media whenever he feels like it.

He doesn’t have a content plan, calendar or schedule.

He said it was more authentic that way.

I totally get where he’s coming from.

But I think the vast majority of folks will do much better with their branding and results with an actual plan.

Pre-planning something doesn’t make it less authentic.

I get the bias though.

I just don’t agree.

That’s why I have Google Docs and swipe libraries full of content strategies…

I have a promo calendar for my email list…

And this is by far the most important part of my work with email clients…

The strategy and promo calendar.

It’s important to identity your objectives…

And craft angles, messages, and offers around them.

Spreadsheets, formulas and systems don’t take the human element out of your company…

Unless you let them…

Plan the work and work the plan.

It saves you time, confusion, and mediocre results.

You can help more of your target audience because you’re organized and on point.

I think that’s authentic - that’s why you’re in business.
