Baby Oil For Your Emails

Don't Be Like Diddy...

You may have heard about all the weird stuff going on with rapper Diddy…

And the 1000 bottles of baby oil that were seized from his house.

He apparently uses baby oil for… erm…

Making certain activities a bit easier.

But it turns out…

His use of baby oil is really unhealthy…

And leads to all sorts of infections.

It’s a bit TMI to be honest…

So I’ll spare you all the physical details…

But honestly, I feel like businesses do the same thing with their offers and emails.

They give their readers “baby oil” in the form of discounts.

It LOOKS like it’s easier for customers to buy when you give a discount…

But you’re really degrading the value and health of your AOV and lifetime customer value.

Because it just doesn’t look right to give someone a 80% discount off something.

It’s like baby oil.

It’s just not healthy for your business.

So don’t try to “lube up” your customers with a bunch of discounts.

Put in the effort to come up with great offers…

Give great tips and advice for their problems…

And work on the other factors that lead to higher AOV…

Lifetime customer value…

And erm, customer satisfaction.
