Don't feed your thoughts with this

ADHD is twice as common as OCD…

But I wonder how many entrepreneurs actually have OCD in addition to… or instead of… ADHD.

One reason why is because of the “obsessive” mentality in business.

And I recently saw a Leila Hormozi video where she talked about some of her mindset tools.

A lot of it was from a very specific kind of therapy used to treat OCD.

It was nice to see somebody who seems to have a grip on her emotions…

Basically say she has struggled with OCD-type thoughts and behavior.

You see, the OCD brain works differently…

You can’t use the typical “mindset” tricks…

So trying to find proof that a thought isn’t true…

Or argue against the cognitive distortions with logic…

Doesn’t work.

Not only that…

It FEEDS the OCD!

Yeah, all that mindset stuff can make it worse.

So if you find yourself fixating on things…

Really stuck on certain thoughts…

That feels like you NEED to solve it urgently…

And it comes back again and again despite doing the exercises you’ve been told to do…

You’re not alone… and you may need a different mental model to deal with these intrusive thoughts.

Alright, I gotta go spend more time thinking about this.
