I'm not white 😳

Some people know their genealogy really well…

But I haven’t looked into it much until now.

It only took 30-ish minutes to find my first direct bloodline Native American ancestor…

His headstone says ā€œCherokee Warriorā€

Oh yeah baby šŸ˜Ž

It just took a couple more generations to get to full blooded Cherokee women…

It was recent enough for them to have their pics taken…

Lookin like baddies and bosses šŸ˜

I also found documentation that shows when they crossed Trail of Tears into Oklahoma from their original Cherokee lands.

Dozens of my ancestors are buried on the Cherokee Nation’s Reservation.

I can easily apply for tribal citizenship with a well documented bloodline…

I just gotta get the birth certificates and submit the paperwork.

I’m glad to learn more about my history…

I feel like it explains a lot of things about myself.

I think understanding your roots…

AND dealing with the generational traumas… and triumphs…

Accepting them and turning them into a source of pride…

Helps you with your mindset, your business, your purpose.

A long time ago, I saw a stat that said something like this:

People who know their family history basically have higher self esteem and confidence…

Which is good for everyone especially when you’re an entrepreneur.

You can at least have confidence in your history even when all the doubts of business swirl around you.

I’d love to hear your own family story…

Tell me about your history, traditions, what you’re proud of…

And even how it informs the decisions you make in life and biz.

Just hit reply and send me an email.
