Just wrapped up a weekend at the Justin Goff mastermind...

For the folks who are new to making a living online...

Justin is an OG copywriter with a ton of wins in different niches.

He's also run his own supplement company and copywriting school in the past.

I got to study marketing and hang out at his pool with a small group of other serious marketers.

It was a lot of fun...

And I've got some great insights to pass along to help your biz.

One thing Justin talked about is figuring out what your audience wants..

Which I think is one of the hardest things about marketing a service or product.

Whether you're new and not sure where to start..

Or you have a list in an established niche but you don't know what to sell them..

The big question is, how do you figure out what to sell?

And thinking through all the things that Justin offered his email list...

He sent a bunch of affiliate offers...

And found that other people's events didn't sell that well...

Copy-related courses sold ok...

But he hit the jackpot when he did his own workshops about email copy and building an email list.

So folks want products on email related stuff.

And my big takeaway is that you're only going to identify what to offer your audience...

By asking them if possible...

But then actually trying out different offers.

So if you're standing still saying "I don't know what to do, I don't know what to do"

Then take your best educated guess...

Or ask a mentor...

Follow someone else's blueprint...

And then just go try it and see what happens.

It's obvious but we all do this in some way...

We want more info... or confirmation that this will 100% work.

Meanwhile, we're wasting a lot of time by not just going for it.

I think Justin tested out about 10 offers to his list before he hit the jackpot.

So pick out a few services or products you want to offer and then just go for it.

We are all way overthinking things sometimes.

Another reminder to just go for it… whatever it is you’re hesitating on… 

And more specifically, this email touches on market research and offers. Both crucial topics that we don’t have time to get into today. The more you keep reading my ongoing emails, the more I’ll dive into these as I learn more and more.

It had a big impact on me when Justin said he does one thing to nurture his list every day (sends a daily email) and one list growth activity.

I’ve put that in my goals and notes so many times since then. It sounds simple, but when I get distracted by other things… then I don’t do those 2 important-but-not-urgent things to build my list and ultimately the income stream where I don’t have to work much. 

Justin makes 50k-100k per month with his list… it’s possible for anyone else too. He’s a great model to have and be around for folks who want a business through their email list.

Another standout moment at the mastermind was Justin’s interview with his friend, an entrepreneur that built a stressful business. Then she scaled back her involvement and she’s way happier and profitable now. She used to be non-stop busy and now she spends more time on self-care and relaxing. It was helpful to think about the lifestyle I want and the kind of business I want to build from the ground up.
