☠️ Please Don't Do This With My Emails!
OMG This Is Scary...
I got this from longtime reader K.N. this week:
I love your soft email copies they are not aggressive.
And your emails barely see the promotions tab.
I am learning how to write like you Rachelle and yeh I made a few sales lately the moment I started writing like you.
I saved 7 of your newsletters, copied them and pasted them on Claude AI, ChatGPt and perplexity Ai.
The aim was, they studied your writing style, and drafted email copies for my products.
And I made some cool sales.
Around $750 for some low ticket and midrange offers
Soft copies 😏
I like that.
But whoa…
whoa….
WHOA.
Wait.
He did what?!
I got worried, because my emails are really weird.
I don’t know anything about K.N.’s business…
Or audience or list…
And I asked which ones he put into AI to study…
And they were some of the weirdest ones 😵💫
Definitely a bold move, K.N.
Here’s something that people don’t talk about much:
There’s a danger to swiping “personality based” emails…
Mainly because they’re unique to the personality of the person who wrote/sent them.
So it’s essentially up to each brand to find their own style.
(And/or work with a talented copywriter to help them with this)
It’s still good to look at how others do it for inspo.
But I’m frankly terrified for K.N.’s list.
Like that is seriously scary and a worthy topic for Halloween week.
On the other hand…
It does make sense that good, interesting copy tweaked for your audience…
Can get you sales.
And proof that even my absolute weirdest copy frames can convert.
(Like he swiped the emails where I talked about not being white…
And Diddy’s baby oil…
And subject lines like “What else is in my jeans”)
I’d like to walk through some different types of emails with you soon…
I can think of dozens of kinds…
And there are all kinds of tricks you can pull out when you really need them most.
Stay tuned.

P.S. Thanks K.N. for all the love and bold moves… you’re an email gangsta
