The invisible tax on your brand

This kills momentum everytime...

If you’ve been following me this week…

You already know where I stand:

Email isn’t dead.

You may just be hesitating.

And it’s not really your fault.

Seriously though, perfectionism looks like strategy.

Like you’re being thoughtful and intentional.

But it’s actually just…

Delay.

It’s your brain saying:

“Let’s tweak it more and more. We don’t want this to fail.”

I’ve been there.

Still there in more areas of my life than I’d like to admit.

Even with emails…

As many as I’ve written…

It’s still easy to overthink.

Should I rewrite this hook?

(Yeah you can always tweak a hook or subject line and try to make it better)

How does my tone sound?

(I don’t want any mishaps or misunderstandings about what I’m saying)

And then you look at the time and you’re like…

Crap should I have sent this earlier today?

But the brands that win push through all the questions that pop up.

You just have to hit send anyway…

Publish until it’s not scary anymore…

And know that mess-ups and oopsies are part of the game too.

The ones that win just show up.

Especially when things aren’t perfect.

Because that’s how you build momentum…

With your email program, sales, your brand, your relationship with your readers…

All of it.

So I encourage you to go ahead and write that email.

Finish it up and press send.

It’s not for me, it’s for your people.

If all you can think of is, “Here’s what I’ve been working on lately. Hope it helps.”

Then dress it up a bit and drop that sucker to your email list.

And if you’re really not sure what to say…

Hit me up and let’s see what we can do together.
