Your copy could be missing 3 out of 5 of these

The 5 Copy Blocks and how to spot them...

There’s a reason some funnels convert cold traffic at 8%…

…and others can’t even close with warm leads.

After breaking down $100 million+ in promos across industries…

The same 5 patterns kept showing up in the winners…

Over and over.

I call them the 5 Copy Blocks.

If your funnel feels “off” but you can’t explain why…

If you’re refreshing stats wondering why sales aren’t scaling…

Chances are, you’re missing at least 2-3 of these right now.

Let’s break them down:

1. The Hook

Everyone knows how important this is…

Yet it takes 2x-3x the effort to make this really good.

Frankly, most people just don’t spend enough time on this.

The hook is your first impression…

And the most important sentence in your funnel.

It must get attention and trigger curiosity or emotion.

Most weak hooks fall flat because they try to “explain” instead of agitate or intrigue.

Great hooks speak to an urgent pain or a forbidden desire.

They promise transformation or expose an uncomfortable truth.

If your hook isn’t getting attention, nothing else matters.

2. The Belief Shift

The secret to getting someone to buy:

Change what they believe is possible.

This is where you flip the script on what they think they know.

Break their old logic.

Install new logic.

Basic example:

“It’s not that you need more traffic. You need a message that converts the traffic you already have. You’re bleeding profits as soon as you get leads.”

Paradigm shifts feel like lightbulb moments.

They turn “maybe later” into “how do I start?”

If you don’t shift beliefs, your offer isn’t going to break through everyone else’s message.

If you pay closer attention to my emails…

You may notice my “paradigm shifts” more often.

I go out of my way to include them frequently.

3. “Proof is God”

Claims without proof… no bueno.

This is where most funnels fall apart…

They drop 1 testimonial and call it “social proof.”

But buyers tend to need all different types proof:

-Quantitative (“9% conversions on cold traffic”)

-Qualitative (“I thought it wouldn’t work, but 3 days later…”)

-Demonstration (“Watch this audit in real time”)

-Social consensus (“Hundreds of creators have already used this”)

The proof should overcome most of their objections naturally.

4. Clear Offer

You’d be shocked how many offers sound like “meh” because they’re confusing.

If your prospect needs 20 seconds to “get it,” you’ve already lost them.

And let me save you a ton of headaches and lost profits…

Write this down somewhere:

People are confused so easily, it’s scary.

This is why we try to write everything at a 3rd grade reading level.

Everyone’s tired, scattered, unfocused, weighed down by 75k thoughts and advertisements.

Doesn’t matter how “smart” someone is.

Be clear, specific, and give them benefits they want.

Make the what, why, and value instantly obvious.

This is a lot harder than it sounds…

Which is why people still pay copywriters $100,000+ for a single promo.

5. The Action Trigger

You can write amazing copy and still tank the sale if you fumble here.

Your CTA must reduce friction, add urgency, and guide action like a trusted coach.

-Remind them what they’ll lose if they don’t act.

-Make next steps feel easy and time-sensitive.

-Remove confusion, hesitation, or extra clicks.

You can’t be polite or wishy washy.

It’s like being on a sales call and being afraid to ask for the sale.

Or just not knowing how to close…

Even with an interested person on the other line.

It’s like going out with somebody who’s already interested in you…

And fumbling it because you didn’t know what to do…

Etc etc, you get the point.

So here’s the reality:

A lot of funnels I’ve looked at only have 1-2 of these blocks.

Top performers have all 5…

Working in harmony.

That’s why their offers convert.

Their followups bring in more $$ on the backend.

Good news, you can fix these blocks…

Once you know what’s missing.

Tomorrow we’ll talk about how you can find out exactly what your funnel’s missing…

And how to fix it fast.

If you want to turn your words into more revenue, don’t miss it.
