You’re lucky

Sponsored by

People seem offended by the word “luck.”

They worked hard to get where they’re at...

But hard work is a given…

Opportunity and access are not.

This is obvious when you go to other countries…

Like when I was in Cartagena, Colombia I noticed a few things.

Everyone works hard - the fishermen and street vendors…

Those are the typical career paths there.

But they do not have access to A/C and internet…

2 very common things in places like the U.S.

I’m surprised how little awareness some people in business have…

Unaware that if they had been born someone else…

In another country…

Their reality would be so radically different…

If you’ve always had A/C, clean water, and internet…

Then you’re very lucky.

All you had to do was figure out how to type the keys and press the buttons a certain way…

And show up at the right events with the right people who gave you a chance…

Yeah, a lot of people could have done that - not just you.

But they couldn’t.

They never got the chance to get the chance.

So feel lucky this Christmas if you can read this…

Not guilty - but grateful.

You won, you beat the odds…

With both luck and hard work.

Congrats.
