Anatomy of a Successful Email Program (Part I Continued)

A couple weeks ago, we started to talk about the structure of a good email program.

This is for you if you’re an ecom brand…

A service provider… like a freelancer…

Or you sell information (video courses, books etc).

If you don’t remember that post where I introduced this to you…

You can check out “Anatomy of a Successful Email Program (Part I) here:

Ok, but one of the biggest questions people want to know is…

How to get the right people on your list?

Because without this piece, your emails will be less effective…

You don’t want to send to the wrong people…

Or send them the wrong offers.

We’ll get into offers another time because it’s also critical to your success…

And it’s also one of the biggest “email list” pitfalls…

One that could make your list massively profitable… or not.

Today, let’s talk about traffic…

Bookmark and star this email to come back to it later when you need it.

Let’s start with the low hanging fruit and the most obvious here…

Do you have a website?

If you do, then you can collect quality leads directly on your website:

  1. Install a pop-up so that when someone visits your site, an opt-in form pops up automatically to collect their email…

  2. Create a “Newsletter” page that shows up on your website’s menu (when they click the page, it takes them to a landing page or opt-in form)…

  3. Write blogs on your website. Tell them to sign up for your emails or tempt them with a freebie in the Call-To-Action at the end…

  4. Use a blog like beehiiv that’s also optimized as an email lead capture system…

But how do you get traffic to your website?

Well, the blogs can help with that… buuuuut…

Sometimes blog traffic comes in slowly...

And you probably want more people joining your list, faster.

We’ll talk about that soon.

And what if you don’t have a website?

No problem.

We’ll talk about that too.

Let me know if you’ve tried any of the “website lead methods” listed above in this email…

And what your results were.
